LANCASTER, SC :::::::::::Miss Jean Carol "Gigi" Taylor, age 87, died Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the Presbyterian Communities in Florence where she was a resident. She was born April 2, 1925 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late John Oscar Taylor and Ann Cook Taylor. Mrs. Taylor was a graduate of Lander College with a degree in business and worked for Springs Industries - Customer Service Center for most of her adult life, was formerly active with Leroy Springs Senior Citizens Club, the Senior Circle, and the United Methodist Women. Miss Taylor is survived only by nieces, Margaret Anne Ligon of Wendell, NC and Sue T. Robinson of Lancaster, 2 nephews, David Taylor of Lancaster and Frank Ligon of Rocky Mount, NC and several great nieces and nephews. Miss Taylor was preceded in death by 2 brothers, John O Taylor, Jr. and James H. Taylor and a sister, Margaret Taylor Ligon.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Miss Taylor will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, June 30, 2012 at First United Methodist Church by Rev. Charles Philips. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park. The Family of Miss Taylor will receive friends from 12:00 - 1:00 pm Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the church.
