LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::Mrs. Jean Rapier Boling, age 79, died Tuesday May 6, 2014 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born January 4, 1935 in Fulton County, Georgia, a daughter of the late Donald Burt Rapier and Ethel Furr Rapier and was the wife of the late Norman Ezell "Peanut" Boling, Sr. Mrs. Boling retired from Springs Industries - Customer Service Center and was a member of Douglas Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by two sons, Norman Ezell Boling, Jr. and his wife Penny of Charlotte and Timothy Ray Boling of Lancaster, a sister, Patricia Rapier of Atlanta and six grandchildren, Christopher, Mitchell, Kristin, Caitlin, Jessica and Shaun Boling.

Mrs. Boling was preceded in death by a son, James K. Boling and a brother, Donald Rapier.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Boling will be 3:00 pm, Thursday, May 8, 2014 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Patrick Clark. Burial will follow at Douglas Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 2:00 - 3:00pm at the funeral home and suggest memorial contributions to Douglas Presbyterian Church, 2325 Sunday Place, Lancaster, SC 29720.
