LANCASTER, SC ~ Jason Lewis Pitts, age 40, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2020.  He was born July 3, 1979 in Lancaster, a son of Henry Lewis "Lewie" Pitts and Robin Crenshaw Pitts.  Jason was a devoted son, father, brother, uncle and friend.  He was the most kindhearted, loving, caring person and if anyone had a need, Jason showed up.  His greatest joy was helping others and sharing the message of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Jason adored his children and family.  He enjoyed landscaping, personal training and cooking.  Jason was passionate about working out, staying healthy and loved helping train others. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.  Jason was a member of Second Baptist Church.

Jason is survived by three children, Lily Pitts, Maggie Vincent, and Roddy Pitts; his parents, Lewie and Robin Pitts; a brother, Matthew Pitts and his fiancée, Shelbi Parr of Durham, NC; a sister, Leslie Pitts Hunt and her husband, Pete of Charlotte, NC; nieces and nephews, Ava Hunt, Coleman Hunt, Audrey Hunt, Claire Hunt, and Haven Pitts; and many loving aunts and uncles.

Jason was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Roddy and Jackie Crenshaw; and his paternal grandparents, Woodrow and Audrey Pitts.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Jason will be 3:00 pm Monday, April 6, 2020 at Lancaster Memorial Park officiated by Dr. Brian Saxon and Rev. Cody Huneycutt.  Due to the government-mandated, COVID-19 restrictions, please practice social distancing at all times.  Jason's Celebration of Life Funeral Service will stream live on the Burgess Funeral Home Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/burgessfuneralhome .  Live stream will begin at 3:00  pm. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Ground 40, 303 Dale Street, Monroe, NC 28112 and Second Baptist Church, 1426 Great Falls Hwy., Lancaster, SC 29720.
