LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Jason Grant Hunter, age 39, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018. He was born May 17, 1978 in Lancaster, the son of the late Cecil Bruce Hunter and the late Trudy Gregory Hunter. Grant was a graduate of Buford High School and enjoyed playing football and wrestling. He served our country in the United States Marine Corps for eleven years. Grant was currently employed with Terminix. He loved animals, enjoyed riding horses, cooking and spending time with his friends. He loved his children and was of the Baptist faith.

Grant is survived by his four sons, Cecil Jackson Pierce Hunter, Maddox Bruce Hunter, Samuel Grant Hunter, all of Lancaster and Zachary Taylor Billings of Atlanta, GA.; his former wife and mother of his children, Lindsay Hunter of Lancaster; and his paternal grandparents, CB and Ruth Hunter also of Lancaster.

Grant was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Cecil Bruce Hunter, and his maternal grandparents, Cleveland C. and Dorothy Gregory.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be 4:00 pm, Thursday, May 10, 2018 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Patrick Clark.

The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
