LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::Mrs. Janice Marie Squires, age 50, died Sunday, August 24, 2014. Janice was born February 8, 1964 in Birmingham, Alabama, the daughter of Mark Burchfield and the late Sandra Kiser Burchfield and was the wife of Richard Joseph Squires. Janice was an accountant and was a very active member of Second Baptist Church. She was involved with Mission trips, both in the United States and abroad. She enjoyed the Ladies Fellowship Outreach and the Senior Care Ministry. She ministered while delivering Meals on Wheels and always wanted to know where you stood in your relationship to Jesus Christ. She was a great witness to the very end.

Janice is survived by her husband, Richard Joseph Squires, two daughters, Amanda Squires and Katlyn Squires both of Lancaster, a brother, Mark Burchfield and his wife Lauren of Ohio, two sisters, Patricia Burchfield of Lancaster and Annette Simmons of Weddington, NC and her father, Mark Burchfield of Birmingham, Alabama,

Janice was preceded in death by a sister, Dana Burchfield.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Squires will be 11:00 am Friday, August 29, 2014 at Second Baptist Church by Dr. Brian Saxon and Mrs. Kimberly Sowell. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The Family of Mrs. Squires will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 am, Friday morning in the foyer of the church and suggest memorial contributions be made to Second Baptist Church, 1426 Great Falls Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.
