LANCASTER, SC ~ Ms. Janet Gay Edwards, age 67, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 17, 2022. She was born November 23, 1954, to the late James Harold Gay and Eutha Lee Adams Gay.

Janet was of the Baptist Faith. She was a proud Mother, Grandmother, & Great Grandmother. She was an avid Clemson Tiger fan and always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Janet is survived by her son, Scott Edwards (Gina); grandchildren, Kasey Gaston, Graham Edwards, Austin Williams (Jessica); great grandchildren, Adalynn Stiver and Clayton Gaston; stepmother, Glenda Gay; brother, Jamie Gay; sisters, Cathy Smith (Gary) and Cynthia Williams; and other beloved nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was pre-deceased by her parents; baby sister, Linda; and her beloved fur baby, Sampson.

A Celebration of Life Service for Janet will be held at 3pm on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2pm-3pm.
