Ms. Janet "Kay" Broome Adams, age 58, died May 29, 2015 at Lancaster Convalescent Center. She was born July 14, 1956 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late George Alton Broome and Lillian Vincent Broome. Ms. Adams was a member of Flint Ridge Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved to make others laugh. She never met a stranger. Her grandson was the joy of her life. Ms. Adams also loved "sister week" at the beach.

Ms. Adams is survived by her son, Donnie Paul Adams, Jr. and his fiancé, Jessica Gilreath of Lancaster, a daughter, Amanda Kay Threatt of Heath Springs, a grandson, Donnie Paul "Trey" Adams III, two brothers, Robert "Bobby" Broome and his wife Deb of Kershaw, three sisters, Evon Branham and her husband David of Heath Springs, Nancy Knight and her husband Phillip of Heath Springs, Debbie Butler and her husband Leo of Lancaster and many nieces and nephews. Ms. Adams is also survived by Donnie P. Adams, Sr., father of her beloved children.

Ms. Adams was preceded in death by a brother, John Broome and George Alton "Al" Broome, Jr., and a sister, Sue Adams.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Ms. Adams will be 11:00 am Monday June, 1, 2015 at Flint Ridge Ridge Baptist Church by Rev. Kelvin Hinson. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am-11:00am prior to service in the church sanctuary and suggest in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to American Diabetes Association 107 Westpark Boulevard Suite 220, Columbia, South Carolina, 29210, Lupus Foundation P.O.
