LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. James Vincent Zaloudek, age 88, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021, at his home.  He was born January 16, 1933, in Chicago, IL, a son of the late James Charles Zaloudek and the late Helen Mueller Zaloudek. Mr. Zaloudek was the husband of Louise Malessa Zaloudek. Mr. Zaloudek loved his family, he was very involved in his children's lives, and they all have special memories with him. Mr. Zaloudek served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was very proud of and loved his country. Mr. Zaloudek was the first Golden Knight of his Council 10066. He was an automobile enthusiast who previously owned a service station and a used car lot. Mr. Zaloudek was a prankster who loved animals, camping, being outdoors and was an avid Cubs fan. Mr. Zaloudek loved his church where he was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church.

Mr. Zaloudek is survived by his wife of 62 years, Louise Zaloudek; three sons, James Frederick Zaloudek (Lori) of Winter Garden, Florida, Charles Edward Zaloudek of Algona, Iowa, and William Kenneth Zaloudek (Marie) of Rock Hill, South Carolina; three daughters, Victoria Marie Dole (Stephen) of Carpentersville, Illinois, Sandra Kathleen Wright (Jeffery) of Lake In The Hills, Illinois, and Rosemarie Ann Kahn (Michael) of Elgin, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Sarah Vinyard (Michael), Linda Larson (Chad), Gregory Dole (Diana), Dianna Vogel (Robert), Jason Wright (Kelli), Tyler Wright, and Robert Zaloudek; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Rosemary Hamaker (Jon) of Gurnee, Illinois; and a large extended family.

Mr. Zaloudek was preceded in death by his parents, James and Helen Zaloudek; a daughter, Louise Rose Netzeband; and a great grandson, Caden.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Zaloudek will be 11:00 am Saturday, November 27, 2021, at St. Catherine Catholic Church officiated by Father Javier Heredia.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Friday, November 26, 2021, at Burgess Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Knights of Columbus, Lancaster Council 10066, 757 Ethel Drive, Lancaster, SC 29720 or St. Catherine Catholic Church, 720 W. Meeting St, Lancaster, SC 29720.
