LANCASTER, SC :::: Mr. James Henry Neely, age 89, died Monday, January 12, 2015 at his home. He was born September 2, 1925 in Lancaster, the son of the late Oscar Neely and Hattie Mae Caskey Neely and was the husband of Leona "Jackie" Privette Neely. Mr. Neely retired from Thermo Plastic in Charlotte and served our country in the United States Army during World War II and received the Purple Heart. He was a member of Crestview Baptist Church and was baptized there while in a wheel chair on September 21, 2008.

Mr. Neely is survived by his wife of 66 years, Leona "Jackie" Privette Neely, a sister, Mary Neely Phillips of Easley, SC and several special nieces and nephews.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Neely will be 11:00 am Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Crestview Baptist Church by Rev. Scott Robinson. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The Family of Mr. Neely will receive friends from 10:30 -11:00 am Thursday in the church fellowship hall and in lieu of flowers, suggest memorial contributions be made to Crestview Baptist Church Land Fund, 2228 Douglas Road, Lancaster, SC 29720
