CATAWBA, SC ::::::::::Mr. James Phillip Mullins, age 74, of 2954 South Anderson Road, died Saturday, February 7, 2009 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill. He was born May 11, 1934 in Middlesboro, Kentucky, the son of the late James Landon Mullins and Rachel Morrison Mullins and was the husband of Nellie Seymour Mullins. Mr. Mullins was a retired truck driver and of the Pentecostal faith.Mr. Mullins is survived by his wife, Nellie Seymour Mullins of the home, 2 sons, James Barton Mullins of Catawba and Charles Mullins and his wife Laurin of Lancaster, a daughter, Lynn Mullins Bonner of Ocala, FL, a brother, Paul Mullins of Port Charlotte, FL, 2 sisters, Mary Yeary of Charlotte and Sue Carey of Fayetteville, 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Deiter, Michael Phillip Bonner, James Charles Mullins, Makenna Mullins, and Aidan Mullins, and a great grandchild, Sevrin James Deiter.Mr. Mullins was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Ruth Hunley and Ruby Mullins.Services for Mr. Mullins will be private and the family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.
