LANCASTER, SC… Mr. James Arnold Mooney, age 78, died Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Magnolia Manor in Rock Hill, SC.  He was born December 14, 1940 in Lumberton, NC, the son of the late Lacy Mooney and Edith Stewart Mooney and was the husband of Charlotte McDowell Mooney.  Mr. Mooney loved playing golf and enjoyed wood working.  He was very involved with his community.  Mr. Mooney was Chairman of the Tax Assessors Board for Lancaster County Juvenile Arbitration Program and President of Crime Stoppers for several years.

Mr. Mooney is survived by his wife of 39 years, Charlotte Mooney; a daughter, Kris Mika and her husband, Cliff; and two grandchildren, Savannah Mika and Mitchell Mika.

Mr. Mooney was preceded in death by his parents.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Mooney will be held at a later date.
