LANCASTER, SC :::::::: Mr. James T. "J.T." Franklin, age 60, died Friday, November 29, 2013. He was born March 8, 1953 in Lancaster County, the son of Emily Carnes Franklin and the late Robert Paxon Franklin. Mr. Franklin retired from Republic Electric in Charlotte, NC. He was an active member of High Point Baptist Church, loved the outdoors and served our great country in the United States Army Reserve.

Mr. Franklin is survived by his mother, Emily Carnes Franklin of Lancaster, a daughter, Olivia Nicole Franklin of Blacksburg, SC, and two brothers, Joey Franklin and his wife Jody of Heath Springs and Ed Franklin and his wife Tammy of Dandridge, Tennessee.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Franklin will be 2:00 pm, Sunday afternoon, December 1, 2013 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Bobby Joyner and Rev. Billy Belk, Jr. Burial will follow at High Point Baptist Church Cemetery.

The Family of Mr. Franklin will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm Sunday at Burgess Funeral Home and the family suggests memorial contributions be made to High Point Baptist Church, Past and Present Pastoral Fund, 1888 Rocky River Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
