Obituary

LANCASTER, SC:::::::::: Mr. James Andrew "Jimmy" Beckham, Jr., age 73, died Thursday, October 22, 2015 at his home. He was born July 10, 1942 in Lancaster, the son of the late James Andrew Beckham, Sr. and Mildred Crolley Beckham Marshall and was the husband of Shirley Moseley Beckham. He was a former business owner and was currently employed with Walmart. He enjoyed playing basketball, softball and football in school and later in church league and also with the Lancaster Recreation Department. He coached Little League teams as well as women's softball. He was an avid Gamecock fan, a hard worker, very honest and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a Mason with Jackson Masonic Lodge #53 and a member of SonLight Church of the Nazarene.

Mr. Beckham is survived by his wife, Shirley Moseley Beckham; a son, Timothy Beckham and his wife, Leah of Mt. Pleasant; two daughters, Donna Bigham and her husband, Larry of Rock Hill and LaVon Fowler and her husband, Steve of Fort Mill; six grandchildren, Jaycee Beckham, Emma Beckham, Dawn Crawford, April Bigham, Lauren Bigham and Zack Fowler and a sister, Betty Ghent of Myrtle Beach.

Mr. Beckham was preceded in death by a son, Tony Beckham, three brothers, Donnie Beckham, Paul Beckham and Hervey Beckham, and a sister, Sarah Beckham.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Beckham will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 24, 2015 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Pastor Jerry Branham. Burial will follow at Westside City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home and suggest memorial contributions be made to SonLight Church of the Nazarene, 571 Monroe Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.
