RIDGEWAY, SC – Mr. James Joseph St. Jean, Sr., age 73, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023, at MUSC Health- Kershaw Medical Center. He was born November 7, 1949, in Chester, SC, a son of the late Charles Albert St. Jean and June Brice St. Jean and was the husband of Nancy King St. Jean.  Mr. St. Jean proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard. He was an electrician by trade, but he loved working on and fixing anything. Mr. St. Jean was a simple man who loved the outdoors, hunting, and especially his family and his dog, Buster. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church where he was an alter server.

Mr. St. Jean is survived by his son, Jimmy St. Jean (Jennifer); his daughter, Jennifer Cash (Jacob); a sister-in-law, Vicki Garner; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. St. Jean was predeceased in death by his wife, Nancy St. Jean; his parents; and two brothers, Charles "Chet" St. Jean and Ricky St. Jean.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Monday, February 13, 2023, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Great Falls, SC officiated by Father Javier Heredia.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 5:00 pm Sunday, February 12, 2023, at Burgess Funeral Home. For those who wish, memorials may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church, 310 Chester Ave, Great Falls, SC 29055.
