LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::Mr. James Eulece Hinson, age 92, died Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at White Oak Manor. He was born May 17, 1923 in Lancaster County, the son of the late Minor Otis Hinson and Bertha Mae Hinson and was the husband of Frances Steele Hinson. Mr. Hinson's occupation was in the iron and steel industry. He was the Superintendent for Armco Steel Company. He served our great country in the United States Navy Coast Guard. He served as a Mason and was a member of Glenwood Heights Baptist church where he taught the Adult Men's Sunday School Class and was known for studying and knowing his Bible well.
Mr. Hinson is survived by his wife Frances Steele Hinson and a son Jimmy Hinson and his wife Gail, four granddaughters, four great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
Mr. Hinson was preceded in death by a brother Otis Caldwell Hinson and a great-grandchild, Libby Hopkins.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Hinson will be 3:00 pm Sunday, May, 31, 2015 at Glenwood Heights Baptist Church by Rev. Joe Reed. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
The Family will receive friends one hour before the service from: 2:00 -3:00 pm Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Glenwood Heights Baptist Church Sanctuary and suggest in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Glenwood Heights Baptist Church, 600 Nichols Road, Lancaster, SC 29720 .
