LANCASTER, SC :::::::::: Mr. James Elliott Hauss, age 84, died Sunday evening, November 9, 2008. He was born July 11, 1924 in Lincolnton, NC, the son of the late Guy Hauss and Jessie Keener Hauss and was the husband of the late Betty Huffman Hauss. Mr. Hauss retired from Springs Industries as a sheet metal fabrication manager, served our great country in the United States Navy during World War II, was a former Civitan and a member of White Springs Baptist Church where he had served as Trustee and Deacon. Mr. Hauss is survived by a son, James Michael Hauss and his wife Teresa of Rock Hill, a daughter, Vicky Hauss Yarborough and her husband Tony of Lancaster, and 4 grandchildren, Miki Hauss Eide, Brad Hauss, Amanda Yarborough, and Anna Yarborough. Mr. Hauss was preceded in death by a brother, Vernon Hauss.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Hauss will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at White Springs Baptist Church by Rev. Steve Owens and Rev. Elton Lane with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park. The Family of Mr. Hauss will receive friends one hour before service in the church Family Life Center and suggest memorial contributions be made to White Springs Baptist Church, 1249 Grace Avenue, Lancaster, SC 29720 or White Oak Manor, Patient Activity Fund, 253 Craig Manor Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.The Family will be at the home of his daughter, Vicky Yarborough, 511 Shoreline Drive, Lancaster.
