LANCASTER, SC :::::::: Mr. James Harold McManus, age 92, died Saturday, December 15, 2012 at White Oak Manor. He was born March 25, 1920 in Monroe, NC, the son of the late Baxter McManus and Ada Broome McManus and was the husband of Margie Rushing McManus. Mr. McManus retired from Springs Industries and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. McManus is survived by his wife of 68 years, Margie Rushing McManus of the home, two daughters, Kelsie Carter and her husband Richard and Judy Taylor and her husband Dick; two sons, James McManus and his wife Barbara and Steve McManus and his wife Joyce; five beautiful granddaughters, Rhonda M. Williams, Ginger M. Johnson, Monica M. Bennett, Stephanie McManus, and Mandy M. Laney; and six great grandsons.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. McManus will be 1:00 pm Monday, December 17, 2012 at The Chapel of Hartley-Burgess Funeral Home. Burial will be private at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The Family of Mr. McManus will receive friends at the home of James and Barbara McManus, 2685 Lazy Oak Drive, Lancaster and suggests memorials to the Alzheimer's Foundation, 901 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
