Lancaster SC.----- Mr. James "Jimmy" Perry Gheant, age 59, died Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born November 15, 1953 in Lancaster County, the son of the late Edith Faile Gheant and James Williams Gheant and was the husband of Kathy Gamble Gheant. Mr. Gheant retired from Duracell, was a past member of Hart Masonic Lodge #380, an avid fisherman and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He was beloved by many family and friends.

Mr. Gheant is survived by his wife, Kathy G. Gheant and his father, James W. Gheant of Lancaster, 2 sons, Jim Gheant and Michael Gheant both of Lancaster, a grandson, Austin Sims, sister-in-law, Tina Gardner, brother-in-law, Randy Gamble, and several nieces and nephews.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Gheant will be 3:00 Thursday, February, 28 2013 at Immanuel Baptist Church by Rev. Tim Anderson and Rev. Mitch Ingram. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Immanuel Baptist Church, Children's Fund, 1152 Great Falls Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.
