LANCASTER, SC :::::::: Mr. James Furman Cox, age 87, died Tuesday, May 08, 2012 at Lancaster Convalescent Center. He was born April 2, 1925 in Williamston SC, the son of the late Doris West Cox and Myrtle Parnell Cox Welch and was the husband of Jo Ann Edmonds Cox. Mr. Cox retired from W R Grace & Company - Cryovac Division, was a member of Covenant Baptist Church and served our great country in the US Navy during World War II. Mr. Cox is survived by his wife Jo Ann E. Cox of Lancaster, 3 sons, Bruce Cox and wife Barbara of Stanley, NC, Phillip Cox and wife Teresa of Greenville, SC, and Ted Cox of Houston, TX, a sister, Vivian Campbell, a sister-in-law, Betty Edmonds of Lagrange, GA, 7 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Cox is private. The Family of Mr. Cox would also like to extend a special thanks to the Staff, Nurses, and CNA's at Lancaster Convalescent Center for their loving care of Mr. Cox.
