LANCASTER, SC :::::::::: Mr. James Edward "Jimmy" Adams, age 62, of 559 Community Lane, died Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born May 15, 1947 in Lancaster, the son of the late Woodrow P. Adams and Pauline Deason Adams. Mr. Adams retired from Springs Industries, was a member of the South Carolina Gamecock Club, and a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon Board, sang in the choir, and was a member of the Senior Joy Group. Mr. Adams is survived by two brothers, Wayne Adams and his wife Kathy and Ronnie Adams both of Lancaster, two sisters, Kathy Davis and her husband Tommy and Vickie Caskey also of Lancaster, a brother in law, Kenneth Caskey, Sr., two nephews, Ken Caskey, Jr. and his special friend Gina Ellis and Chris Davis and his wife Sherrie, a great niece, Chassity Davis and a great nephew, Christopher Davis. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Adams will be 3:00 pm Friday, February 5, 2010 at Camp Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Randy Mellichamp and Rev. Don Waldrop with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Family of Mr. Adams will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Thursday evening, February 4, 2010 at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to Camp Creek Baptist Church New Building Fund, 998 Potter Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
