LANCASTER, SC::::::: Mrs. Jacqueline Faith Atkinson, age 85, died Monday, January 12, 2015 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born March 30, 1929 in Southhampton, England, the daughter of the late Archibald M. L. Lyon and Gladys Irene Chenchen Lyon. Mrs. Atkinson enjoyed gardening, animals, and loved to shop. She became a citizen of the United States in 1971. She retired from The Lancaster Telephone Company, was a member of Eastern Star and a member of New Cut Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Atkinson is survived by a daughter, Teresa Faith Atkinson of Lancaster, two grandchildren, Anthony C. Trout and Debra Trout Simpson, five great grandchildren, Dylan S. Lawing, Dalen A. Trout, Jonathon Knight, Kendall B. Trout and Kenneth G. Simpson and two nieces, Marilyn Coleman and Susan Pasco.

Mrs. Atkinson was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth C. Trout, a daughter in law, Mary Trout, a sister, Jill Denise Adams, and two brothers, Anthony M. L. Lyon and Aubrey Kenneth Lyon.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Atkinson will be 3:00 pm, Friday, January 16, 2015 at New Cut Presbyterian Church by Rev. Wayne Dickson and Rev. Bill Sumner with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family of Mrs. Atkinson will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday evening, January 15, 2015 at Burgess Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to the Lancaster SPCA, PO Box 3042, Lancaster, SC 29721.
