INDIAN LAND, SC ~ Mrs. Mary Jacqueline "Jackie" Glasson Cherry, age 82, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025. Jackie was born October 11, 1942, daughter of the late Christopher Glasson and the late Marie Blanche Cain Glasson and was the wife of 64 years to the late Donald E. Cherry. Jackie enjoyed playing Mahjong and Bingo, working in her yard with her flowers, cooking and being part of dinner clubs, going to the beach, and helping others when she could. Raising her children and taking care of her family was the joy of her life. She also loved her cat, MaryAnn, and just loved animals in general. Jackie was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Indian Land, SC.

Jackie is survived by her two sons, Shawn Cherry (Dana) and Troy Cherry (Maryfrances); her daughter, Pamela Eckert; six grandchildren, Robbie (Jennifer), Treven (Julie), Trey (Kelsey), Tyler, Will, and Drew; five great grandchildren, Anna, Benjamin, Jackson, Isla, and Eliza; her brother, Anthony "Sonny" Glasson (Margie); and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Cherry; and her parents, Christopher and Marie Glasson.

The Funeral Mass for Jackie will be held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church on Thursday, May 8th at 12:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association or to your local Humane Society.
