LANCASTER, SC :::::::::: Mr. Jack Carey Carnes, age 48, of 1663 Roy Carnes, died September 17, 2009 at his home. He was born March 3, 1961 in Lancaster County, the son of Jack Ferral Carnes and Phebe Dew Carnes. Mr. Carnes was an Electrical Engineer for Terex in Rock Hill, a retired Staff Sergeant - Army National Guard, an Eagle Scout, and a member of Union Baptist Church. Mr. Carnes is survived by his parents, Jack and Phebe Carnes of Lancaster, 2 sisters, Anne Briggs and her husband Spencer and Becky Sanders and her husband Timothy both of Lancaster, a step-daughter, Misty Cameron of Rock Hill, and 4 nephews; Kevin Summers, Wess Briggs, Jesse Briggs, and Trace Briggs.Mr. Carnes was preceded in death by a brother, Jack F. Carnes, Jr. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Carnes will be 11:00 am, Tuesday September 22, 2009 at Bethlehem Baptist Church by Rev. Reggie Hopkins and Rev. Jackie Jenkins with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Family of Mr. Carnes will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00pm Monday, September 21, 2009 at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to Boy Scout Troop #82,Buford Volunteer Fire Dept., or a church of choice.
