LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Izola Robertson Ingram, age 93, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022. She was born July 27, 1929, a daughter of the late Shalor Robertson and Ida Gardner Robertson and was the wife of the late William Robert "Slick" Ingram. Mrs. Ingram enjoyed cooking, being a caregiver for her loved ones, and going to church. Family was most important to her, and she loved them all dearly. Mrs. Ingram was a member of Freedom Freewill Baptist Church.
Mrs. Ingram is survived by her son, Rev. Mitch Ingram (Chris); three grandchildren, Melanie Ingram Harper (Christopher), Jason Ingram (Amy), and Kelly Blackmon (Jon); six great grandchildren, Madeline Harper, Kathryn Bailey (Ryan), Kamryn Ingram, Emmalee Blackmon, Jaxon Ingram, and Klaire Blackmon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ingram was preceded in death by her husband, Slick Ingram; a son, Robert "Booty" Ingram; her parents; two brothers, Billy Joe Robertson and Frank Robertson; and a sister, Frances Gamble.
The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Ingram will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Freedom Freewill Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Mitch Ingram. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the church. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Freedom Freewill Baptist Church, 1697 N. Rocky River Rd., Lancaster, SC 29720.
