LANCASTER, SC :::::::: Mrs. Iris Hammond Faulkenberry Terry, age 87, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Lancaster Convalescent Center. She was born January 2, 1925 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late Raleigh Hammond and Elsie Mae Williams Hammond. Mrs. Terry was twice married, first to the late Harvey A. Faulkenberry and secondly to the late Henry Benjamin Terry. Mrs. Terry retired from Springs Industries after 46 years and was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mrs. Terry is survived by 2 sons, Floyd Faulkenberry and wife Jean of Lancaster, and Kenneth Faulkenberry and wife Rosemary of Rock Hill, 2 daughters, Hilda McAteer and Dot Knight and husband Alan both of Lancaster, 3 daughter-in-laws, Nancy B. Faulkenberry, Juanita A. Blackwell, and Linda R. Terry, 19 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Terry was preceded in death by a son, Harvey W. Faulkenberry, 2 step sons, Kenneth Terry and Billy Terry, son-in-law, Bobby McAteer and great grandson, Brandon McAteer. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Terry will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 9, 2012 at First Pentecostal Holiness Church by Rev. Gerald Starnes and Rev. Doug Pate. Burial will follow at Rich Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The Family of Mrs. Terry will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday, June 8, 20212 at Hartley Funeral Home and the family suggests memorials to First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1138 10th Street, Lancaster SC 29720.
