LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Howard Sellers, age 82, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019 at his home.  He was born December 25, 1936 in Chesterfield, SC, a son of the late John Phillip Sellers and Lilly Mae Wilkerson Sellers; and was the devoted husband of Sybil Threatt Sellers.  Mr. Sellers enjoyed riding motorcycles and yard work.  He served in the United States Marine Corp and was also a Mason and a Shriner.  Mr. Sellers loved spending time with his family and his Sunday School class.  He was a member of White Springs Baptist Church.

Mr. Sellers is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sybil Threatt Sellers; three sons, Howard Kim Sellers (Wendy) of Lancaster, Mark Sellers of Byron, GA., and Richard Sellers of Lancaster; two grandchildren, Dillon Sellers, and Anna Hicks (Chris); two great-grandchildren, Conner and Owen Hicks; a brother, Thomas Sellers (Joyce) of Charlotte, NC; and a sister, Ann Dobson (Ben) of Alexander, VA.

Mr. Sellers was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Delbert Sellers, Aaron Sellers and J.W. Sellers; and three sisters, Patricia Snipes, Bea Myers, and Ruth Griffin.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Sellers will be 2:00 pm Monday, December 9, 2019 at White Springs Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Mike Hammond and Rev. Maxie Threatt.  Burial will be private at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm, Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Hwy., Lancaster, SC and suggest memorial contributions be made to White Springs Baptist Church, 1249 Grace Avenue, Lancaster, SC 29720 or the Shriner's Children's Hospital, 950 West Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605.
