LANCASTER, SC ~ Howard Wylie Penegar, Jr., 24, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born April 27, 1993 in Lancaster, the son of Patricia Patty Sinclair Penegar and the late Howard Wylie Penegar, Sr. He loved to run and was the track and cross-country star in high school. Wylie enjoyed hunting, fishing and skim boarding at the beach. He was very adventurous and had a smile that was one of a kind. He was an animal lover and enjoyed spending time with both of his dogs, Mylo and Petey. Wylie J enjoyed working on cars and deeply loved his family. He loved music, singing and was a member of Canaan Land Ministries.

Wylie J is survived by his mother, Patty Sinclair Penegar; a sister, Brooke Penegar; his maternal grandparents, Claude and Marcene Sinclair; his paternal grandparents, Howard and Mim Penegar; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Wylie J was preceded in death by his father, Howard Wylie Penegar, Sr.

The Celebration of Wylie Js Life will be 3:00 pm Sunday, February 11, 2018 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Pastor Howard Penegar, Jr., Evangelist Tyler Blue and Pastor Anton Shipp. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park by Pastor Howard Penegar, Jr. and Matthew Slyman aka Crucial.

Visitation for Wylie J will be from 6:00 8:00 pm Saturday evening, February 10, 2018 at Burgess Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the College Fund for Brooke Penegar at Founders Federal Credit Union.
