LANCASTER, SC :::::::: Mr. Heyward M. Hilton, age 89, died Monday, March 18, 2013 at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born December 6, 1923 in Lancaster County, the son of the late Lance Hilton and Eva Byrd Hilton and was the husband of Lennie Hunter Hilton. Mr. Hilton retired from Clark Control, was a Mason with Hart Lodge, a Shriner with Hejaz Temple and a member of First Baptist Church.

Mr. Hilton is survived by his wife Lennie H. Hilton, 2 sons, Joseph M. "Mac" Hilton of Charlotte, and Kenneth H. "Bubba" Hilton and his wife Betty of Lancaster, 2 daughters, Joyce H. McClure and her husband Shelton of Beaumont, TX and Lori Hilton of Leesville, 3 grandchildren, Angela Poulos, Jeff Hilton and Rhett Cody, and 7 great grandchildren.

Mr. Hilton was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis F. Hilton and a sister, Bernice Robinson.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Hilton will be 2:00 pm Thursday, March 21, 2013 at The Chapel of Hartley Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Randy Hatcher and Rev. Todd Robinson. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The Family of Mr. Hilton will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Hartley Burgess Funeral Home and suggest memorials to First Baptist Church, PO Box 670, Lancaster, SC 29721.
