LANCASTER, SC :::::::::: Mr. Herbert Blainey, age 71, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013. He was born December 29, 1941 in Plattsburgh, NY, the son of Arthur Blainey and Elizabeth Wiggins Blainey and was the husband of Janice L. Blainey. Mr. Blainey retired from Red Star Express as a truck driver, was a member of the Teamsters Union 317, volunteered for the Van Wyck Community Center and was a member of Belair United Methodist Church and Belair United Methodist Church Men's Club.

Mr. Blainey is survived by his wife, Janice L. Blainey of Lancaster, 2 sons, Robert Blainey and Michael Blainey, a daughter, Robin Blainey all of Auburn, NY, 2 step-daughters, Roxanne Webber of Lancaster and Leona Padgett and her husband Van of Pearl, Mississippi, 1 brother, Arthur James Blainey and wife Shirley of Fulton, NY, 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Blainey was preceded in death by a brother, William Blainey.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Blainey will be 4:00 pm Monday, April 8, 2013 at Belair United Methodist Church by Rev. Harry Ginghart.

The family of Mr. Blainey will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 pm, Monday, April 8, 2013 at the church and suggest memorial contributions to the Belair United Methodist Building Fund, 8095 Shelley Mullis Road, Indian Land, SC 29707.
