LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::: Mrs. Helen Evans Robertson, age 75, died Sunday, October 4, 2009. She was born February 28, 1934 in Blenheim, SC, the daughter of the late James Thomas Evans and Josephine Mae Driggers Evans and was the wife of the late William Hugh Robertson. Mrs. Robertson owned and operated Robbie's Day Care and Kindergarten in Columbia, SC before retiring, was the previous President of the Day Care Director's Association, and attended Sonlight Community Church of the Nazarene.Mrs. Robertson is survived by 3 daughters, Malissa R. Hulon and her husband Donald of Irmo, Cathy R. Carlton and her husband Wendell of Charlotte, and Bernice R. Wright and her husband Roger of Waynesville, 5 sisters, Elizabeth Byrd, Pauline Herndon, Dorothy Burr, Viola Hopkins, and Marguerite Brock, 6 grandchildren, Heather, Paul, Collin, Kirsten, Will and Amy, 1 great grandchild Jenson, and beloved nieces and nephews. Mrs. Robertson was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Louise Dobson and Katie Waldrop. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Robertson will be 12:00 noon, Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Sonlight Community Church of the Nazarene by Rev. Jerry Branham. A Graveside Service will follow at 3:00 pm at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Columbia, SC and the family suggests memorial contributions to Sonlight Church of Nazarene, 569 Monroe Hwy., Lancaster, SC 29720
