LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Helen Bernice Neal McCain, age 90, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021. She was born September 21, 1931, in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Thomas Jackson Neal and Haselyn Parks Neal and was the wife of the late Robert Calvin McCain.  Mrs. McCain enjoyed traveling, especially going on cruises, cooking, and spending time with her family.  She was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 257 (Tradesville) and Snell Circle.  Mrs. McCain was a member of Unity ARP Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.

Mrs. McCain is survived by a son, Billy Neal McCain (Candace) of Clover, SC; a daughter, Mary Ann Willis (Wayne) of Lancaster; six grandchildren, Brandy Campbell (Curtis), Mandy Willis (fiancé, Bryan Walker), Brianne Price (Jesse), Alyssa McCain, Neal McCain, and Lee McCain; five great grandchildren, Emma Campbell, Lydia Campbell, Hannah Campbell, Nicole Price, and Liam Price; and a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth McCain of Gastonia.

Mrs. McCain was preceded in death by her husband, Robert McCain; a son, Bobby Calvin McCain; her parents; four brothers, Aaron Neal, Cletus Neal, Guy Neal, and Milburn Neal; and six sisters, Margaret Snipes, Betty Joyce Horton, Inez Rankin, Edna Mosier, Minnie Lee Phillips, and Sarah Jane Neal.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. McCain will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Unity ARP Church officiated by Rev. Charles Hammond. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm at Burgess Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Unity ARP Church, 3495 Unity Church Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
