LANCASTER, SC::::::: Mrs. Helen Woodall Macy, age 85, died Friday, December 26, 2014 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born January 4, 1929 in Axton, Virginia, the daughter of the late Samuel George Woodall and Hallie Irving Hankins Woodall. Mrs. Macy retired from Fieldcrest/Pillowtex and was a member of Draper Christian Church in Eden, NC.
Mrs. Macy is survived by a son, Sammy Macy and his wife Sandra of Lancaster, a stepson, Coy Macy, Jr. of Greensboro, NC, a stepdaughter, Pat Reid of Eden, a brother, Nelson Woodall and his wife Lucille also of Eden, two grandchildren, Michael Shawn Macy and his wife Lora and Winki Poynor and her husband Lance, and four great grandchildren, Darren Macy, Trey Macy, Cade Poynor and Chloe Poynor.
Mrs. Macy was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Woodall and Marvin Woodall and two sisters, Belle Harmon and Ruth Payne.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Macy will be 12:00 pm Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Draper Christian Church by Pastor Bob Johnson with visitation one hour before at the church. Burial will follow at Ridge View Cemetery in Eden.
The Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Sunday evening, December 28, 2014 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster, SC and suggest memorial contributions be made to Draper Christian Church Food Pantry, 1116 Fieldcrest Road, Eden, NC 27288 or Springhill Baptist Church Mission Ministry, 2245 Old Camden Monroe Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.
