LANCASTER, SC :::::::::::Mrs. Helen Black Hartley, age 60, died Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born June 11, 1952 in York County, the daughter of the late Wesley Eugene Black and Jessie Mae Bigham Black and was the wife of Bobby Gene Hartley. Mrs. Hartley retired from Continental Tire and was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Hartley is survived by her husband Bobby Hartley, 4 sons, Mike Mackey and his companion Angie Cole, Bo Hartley and his wife Jennifer, Jody Hartley and his wife Claudia, and BJ Hartley and his wife Alison all of Lancaster, 2 daughters, Sandy M. Gordon and her companion Josh Fincher of Lancaster, and Melissa H. Rushing and her husband Clark of Monroe, 3 brothers, Jerry Black and his wife Andrea of Puyallup, WA, George C. Black and his wife Gail of TX, and John Black of Lancaster, a sister, Kathy Ellis and her husband Hardy of Lancaster, 17 grandchildren and her beloved pet "Tiny" .

Mrs. Hartley was preceded in death by a sister, Carrie Steele.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Hartley will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, December 9, 2012 at The Chapel of Hartley - Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Rocky Rushing and Preacher Garrett Tucker. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The Family of Mrs. Hartley will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Hartley - Burgess Funeral Home and the family suggests memorials be made to Hospice of Lancaster, 902 West Meeting Street, Suite A, Lancaster, SC 29720.
