LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Hazel Ann Ellis Stogner, age 69, died Friday, November 10, 2017 at her home. She was born May 3, 1948, a daughter of the late Carl Ellis and Geneva Faile Ellis Watts and was the wife of Jerry Pete Stogner. Mrs. Stogner enjoyed sitting on her back porch, shopping, spending time with friends, and her flowers and gardening. She loved eating sweets. Mrs. Stogner loved her family and her two dogs. Her family will remember her feistiness.

Mrs. Stogner is survived by her husband, Jerry Pete Stogner; three sons, Steven Kennington, Jeff Green and his wife, Darlene, and Timothy Hinson; one daughter, Carla Goodwin and her husband, Kenneth; eleven grandchildren, Shane Goodwin, Jeremy Goodwin, Andrew Goodwin, Heather Kennington, Marcus Kennington, Mitchell Kennington, Kaleigh Hinson, Michael Hinson, Jeffery Green, Tosha Gideon, and April Griggs; eleven great-grandchildren; a sister, Yvonne Kennington and her husband, Calvin; and two close family friends, Gennie Deese and Penny Ryckley.

Mrs. Stogner was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Michael Scott Petey Hinson; a grandson, Christopher Green; and a brother, Samuel Paul Bo Ellis.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Stogner will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Thomas Izzard. Burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends 6:00 8:00 pm, Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Hwy., Lancaster, SC 29720.
