LANCASTER, SC :::::::::: Mr. Hazel Robert Privette, age 91 died Friday November 4, 2011 at White Oak Manor where he was a resident He was born in Lancaster County, Febuary 14, 1920, a son of the late F.V. Privette and Rubie Robinson Privette and was raised from the age of 5 by F.V. and Sara Flowers Privette and was the husband of Dorothy Hallman Privette. He was the retired owner and operator of H&D Appliance and served our great country in the U.S. Army during World War II,. Mr. Privette is survived by a son; Allen D Privette and his wife Leta of Waxhaw, NC, 2 daughters; Dianne P. Murray and her husband Michael of Charlotte, N.C. Iris P. Shelly and her husband Russell of Bethlehem, PA, 3 Sisters, Jackie Neely and husband James, Jean P Knight and husband Nicky, both of Lancaster and Dale P. Willoughby and husband Wayne of Myrtle Beach, 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter.. Mr. Privette was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Willie Ferris Privette, Word L. Privette and Charles M. Privette, and 2 sisters, Myrtle McManus and Margaret Hunter and a granddaughter Dixie Lynn ShellyThe Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Privette will be 11:00 am, Monday November 7, 2011 at Unity ARP Church by Rev. Charles Hammond and Pastor Les Thomas . Burial will follow in the church cemetery.The Family of Mr. Privette will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship center and suggests memorial contributions be made to White Oak Manor Activity Fund 253 Craig Manor Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
