Haselynn Mosier Garris, 89, ran into the arms of Jesus November 3, 2026. Affectionately known to everyone as “Granny,” was the daughter of Toy Mosier and Edna Neal Mosier. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, family, and love. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Granny had a special way of making everyone feel like family.

Granny was a dedicated employee of Springs Industries for 49 years. A lifelong member of Grace United Methodist Church, her faith was the foundation of her life. She faithfully served in the church choir for 50 years and as a Sunday School teacher for 52 years. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women (UMW) and the Bible Study Club. Granny loved praise and worship music and found great joy in serving her church and others.

Granny enjoyed gardening, tending to her beautiful flowers, and sending thoughtful cards to brighten someone’s day. She was especially known for her famous homemade biscuits that would melt in your mouth and her unwavering support at sporting events. Whether cheering for her own grandchildren or someone else’s, Granny was always there.

Above all, Granny’s greatest joy was her family. Nothing made her happier than spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Their visits always brightened her day.

Granny’s loving family includes her children, Randall Garris (Joann), Dennis Garris (Chris), Tess Sims, and David Garris (Dale) all of Lancaster, SC; sister, Margie Allen of Lancaster, SC; and brother, Charlie Mosier of Jacksonville, FL.

She was a proud grandmother to Ashley Garris (Lauren), Ryan Garris (Jessica), Andrew Garris (Brianna), Justin Sims (Austin), Anna Jordan (Ryan), and Dillon Garris (Jessica); and great-grandmother to Palmer Garris, Halston Garris, Paisley Garris, Hudson Garris, Garnet Sims, Finley Garris, and Rowan Garris.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Toy and Edna Mosier; brothers, Jimmy Mosier and Jerry Mosier; her grandson, Nicholas Garris; her great-grandson, Noah Sims; her son in love Laddie Sims; and daughter in love Dana Garris.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church in loving memory of Haselynn Mosier Garris, PO Box 418, Lancaster, SC 29721.

Granny will forever be remembered for her loving heart, strong faith, warm biscuits, beautiful flowers, thoughtful cards, and the way she always showed up for those she loved.

She was Granny to everyone, but to her family, she was simply irreplaceable.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Ms. Haselynn will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, November 6, 2026, at Grace United Methodist Church officiated by Pastor Kenneth Healy and Rev. Patrick Blackmon. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm in the church Sanctuary. Entombment will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family extends a heartfelt thank-you to her sister Margie Allen, to the staff of MUSC Health Lancaster Medical Center, Dr. Morris, Megan Benton, and Heart of Hospice in Lancaster for their compassionate care and friendship.

“Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:21
