LANCASTER, SC :::::::::: Mr. Harvey Griggs Moree, age 81, of 3268 Charlotte Highway, died Friday, March 12, 2010. He was born December 21, 1928 in Chesterfield County, the son of the late James Moree and Rennie Moree Moree. Mr. Moree was first married to the late Mattie Therrell Moree and second to the late Brenda Peach Moree. He retired from Springs Industries after more than 50 years of service, was employed for more than fifteen years with the Lancaster County Racetrack Recycle Center, and attended High Point Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Moree is survived by his special friend, Virginia Pearson of Lancaster, two sons, Jerry W. Moree, Sr. and his wife Dianne and Mickey Moree both of Lancaster, a daughter, Catherine M. Sammons and her husband Earl of Taylors, SC, two brothers, Ralph Moree and Jesse Moree, a sister, Geneva Faile all of Lancaster, 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Moree will be 2:00 pm Sunday, March 14, 2010 at High Point Freewill Baptist Church by Rev. Cliff Wilson and Rev. Don Waldrop with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.The Family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Saturday evening, March 13, 2010 at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to High Point Freewill Baptist Church, 2095 Great Falls Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.
