LANCASTER, SC ::::::::::Mr. Harvey "Mr. Jack" Harper, age 80, of 1300 Crestfield Drive, died Sunday morning, August 17, 2008 at his home. He was born August 6, 1928 in Lancaster County, the son of the late James Dewitt Harper, Sr. and Ruby Baskin Harper and was the husband of Eunice Hayes Harper. Mr. Harper was the owner and operator of "Mister Jack's" Shoes and a member of First Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and choir member.Mr. Harper is survived by his wife, Eunice Hayes Harper of the home, 2 daughters, Jacqueline Harper Hart and her husband Dennis of New London, NC and Jean Harper Moree and her husband Jerry of Lancaster, and 7 grandchildren, Patrick, Joshua, and Cameron Moree, and Corey, Jackson, Megan, and Gracie Hart.The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Harper will be 2:00 pm Wednesday afternoon, August 20, 2008 at First Baptist Church by Rev. Roy Barnes and Rev. Lester Branham with private entombment at Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum.The Family of Mr. Harper will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday evening, August 19, 2008 at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church, PO Box 670, Lancaster, SC 29721.
