LANCASTER, SC::::::::: Mr. Harold Edward Sims, age 55, of 335 S. Potter Road, died Monday, April 4, 2011 at Tuomey Healthcare in Sumter. He was born January 20, 1956 in Monroe, NC, the son of Frances Blackmon Brazell and the late Harold Sims. Mr. Sims was a self employed painter and a member of Pleasant Dale Baptist Church. Mr. Sims is survived by his mother, Frances B. Brazell of the home, a daughter, Nicole Sims of Lancaster, a brother, William R. Sims, Sr. of Kannapolis, and 2 grandchildren, Tristian Steele and Nathan Steele. Mr. Sims was preceded by a grandson, Jason Brian Steele, Jr. and a nephew William R. Sims, II. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Sims will be 2:00 pm Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Pleasant Date Baptist Church by Rev. Jessie Adams. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Family of Mr. Sims will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Wednesday April 6, 2011 at Hartley Funeral Home and the family suggests memorials be made to Pleasant Dale Baptist Church, Cemetery Fund, 133 S. Potter Road, Lancaster SC 29720.
