LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::: Mr. Harold Edward Player, age 83, died Friday, April 1, 2016 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill. He was born November 3, 1932 in Camden, a son of the late George Bruce Player, Sr. and Kate Russell Player and was the husband of Mollye Small Player. Mr. Player retired from Springs Industries, was very family oriented and especially loved his grandchildren.

Mr. Player is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mollye Small Player; a daughter, Ginger Player Cook and her husband, Dr. Dexter Cook of Lancaster; a sister, Coreen Sanders of Mt. Olive, NC; two grandsons, Trey Cook and his wife, Jennifer, and Andy Cook and his wife, Cara; and a great grandson, Dex Cook.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Player will be 3:00 pm, Sunday, April 3, 2016 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Johnny Hefner and Rev. Eric Dawson. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 7:00 pm Saturday evening, April 2, 2016 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster and suggest memorial contributions be made to the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, PO Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731.
