LANCASTER, SC ~ Henry J. "Hank" Jahnke, age 67 of Lancaster, SC passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Hank was born January 6, 1955, in Appleton, WI. He is the son of his proud parents Howard (Tod) and Evelyn (Honey)(Appleton) Jahnke. Hank was united in marriage to Cindy Daniels, May 4, 1984. His memory will be cherished by his two sons, Adam, and Grant.
He grew up in Manitowoc attending Sacred Heart grade school and graduating from Manitowoc Lincoln High School, class of '73. After high school, Hank enlisted in the Navy specializing in medical training.
After his service in the Navy, Hank worked at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital as a surgical tech. Later Hank developed his own company called People's Produce, LLC in the Plymouth area. After moving to North Carolina, Hank worked as a sales representative in high tech plastics.
Hank was an avid golfer and enjoyed taking money from his three brothers on the golf course. He loved following the Packers, Brewers, Bucks, and especially the Marquette Golden Eagles. He was a fantastic cook and a special storyteller.
Hank took tremendous pride in his family and enjoyed his later years with his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a kind, generous, loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife Cindy (Daniels) Jahnke, his two sons Adam (Meghan) Jahnke (Landrum, SC) and Grant (Atlanta, GA) and five grandchildren (Elizabeth, Colton, Josette, Burke, and Nora); two sisters Becky (Bob) Behnke (Sun City, SC), Jessie (Jackie Pelletier) Jahnke (Asheville, NC), his three brothers, Greg (Diane) Jahnke (Appleton WI), Chris (Kathy Young) Jahnke (New Carlisle, IN), Jon (Cheri Sutton) Jahnke (Hilton Head, SC) and many relatives and friends. Hank was preceded in death by his parents Tod and Honey Jahnke.
There will be a private celebration of life ceremony for Hank in Charlotte, NC. The family would like to thank the Agape Hospice team for their loving care of Hank during his last few weeks.
