LANCASTER, SC :::::::::::Mrs. Grace Clark Bosdell, age 87, formerly of Clemson, died Friday, December 13, 2013 at Morningside of Lancaster. She was born September 4, 1926 in Anderson, SC, the daughter of the late William Simms Clark and Elsie Freeman Clark and was the wife of Francis Alvin Bosdell, Sr. Mrs. Bosdell retired from the State of South Carolina public school system and Clemson University Athletic and Alumni offices. She later served as Secretary for Pendleton United Methodist Church where she was an active member.
Mrs. Bosdell is survived by her husband of 68 years, Francis Alvin Bosdell, Sr., a son, Francis Alvin Bosdell, Jr. and his wife Melony of Richmond, VA, two daughters, Deborah Bosdell Hegler and her husband Joe of Lancaster and Melissa Bosdell Wellman and her husband Gregory of Huntersville, NC, a sister in law, Ellen Clark of McClellanville, SC, six grandchildren, Gregory Wellman, Jr. and his wife Kimberly, Jessica W. Merrey and her husband Patrick, Lindsay W. McClintock and her husband Justin, Francis Alvin Bosdell, III, Martina B. Cathey and her husband Michael and Danielle Bosdell and 6 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Bosdell was preceded in death by four brothers, Harold Clark, Cecil Clark, Ray Clark and William Simms Clark, Jr. and three sisters, Ruth Laudermilch, Hazel Bishop and Dorothy Mize.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Bosdell will be 2:00 pm, Monday, December 16, 2013 at Pendleton United Methodist Church in Pendleton, SC by Rev. Melton Arant and Rev. Mitch Houston. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
