KERSHAW, SC:::::::: Mrs. Gloria Dawn Robinson Kennington, age 72, died Monday, May 11, 2015 at Providence Hospital in Columbia. She was born November 15, 1942, the daughter of the late Whiteford Robinson and Myrtle Roberts Robinson and was the wife of Sammie Lee Kennington. Mrs. Kennington previously worked with Skyline Limited and Small's Food Store. She was a faithful and devoted member of Oakhurst Baptist Church and loved her church family. She loved people in general but especially loved her family.

Mrs. Kennington is survived by her husband of 53 years, Sammie Lee Kennington; a son, Martin Lee Kennington; a daughter, Julie Kennington Jordan and her husband Stephen all of Kershaw, two grandchildren, Landon Jordan and Haven Dawn Jordan; a sister, Bobbie Jean Seabolt and her husband David of Dahlonega, GA; a brother in law, Joseph Kliebert of Camden and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Kennington was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Dawn Kennington, a sister, Mary Kliebert and three brothers, DeWitt Robinson, William Robinson and James Robinson.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Kennington will be 4:00 pm, Friday, May 15, 2015 at Oakhurst Baptist Church by Rev. John Rogers and Rev. Bobby Wallace. Burial will follow in Kershaw City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service in the church fellowship hall and suggest memorial contributions be made to Oakhurst Baptist Church, 394 Barrett Road, Heath Springs, SC 29058 or Flint Ridge Baptist Church, 1850 Flint Ridge Road, Heath Springs, SC 29058.
