LANCASTER, SC ~ Glenda Faye Cornett Bass, age 75, passed away, Saturday, March 5, 2022, at MUSC- Lancaster. She was born September 17, 1946, in Rome, GA, the daughter of the late William Homer Cornett, Jr. and Addie Katherine Harris Cornett and was the wife of the late Alfred Eugene "Buster" Bass. Mrs. Bass was a devoted member of Covenant Baptist Church where she loved her Joy Sunday school class and singing in the classics choir. She enjoyed scrapbooking and spending time with her beloved grandson, Bradley.
Mrs. Bass is survived by son, Robert Eugene "Bobby" Bass and his wife, Connie Beeler Bass, beloved grandson, Bradley Bass, and son, Ronald "Ronny" Edward Bass; In addition, Debbie Sechrist and her husband, Billy, with Jason Sechrist, Matthew Sechrist, Joseph Sechrist and David Beasley and his wife Jana; two brothers, William H. Cornett, III. (Lisa) of Kentucky, and Jim Cornett of Rome, GA; two sisters, Diane Gayton (Jeff) of Rome, GA, and Sara McLemore (Steve) of Rome, GA; and a special friend, Caroline Player.
Mrs. Bass was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years; her parents; and two sisters, Shirley Ann Beasley and Cherry Warren.
The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mrs. Bass will be 11:00 am Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Covenant Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Jim Osteen and Dr. Bert Welch.
The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM, one hour prior to the service in the fellowship hall.
