LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Glenda Sue Hinson Adams, age 76, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023. She was born October 16, 1946, in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Ira Eugene Hinson and the late Nettie Morgan Powers and Clarence Powers and was the wife of Cecil Adams. Glenda enjoyed working in her flower garden, going to the beach, and watching her hummingbirds as they fed at the feeders she always kept full for them. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. Glenda was a member of Crestview Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.

Glenda is survived by her husband, Cecil Adams; her daughter, Jennifer Faile (Randal); five grandchildren, Jonathon Ellis, Justin Ellis, Bradley Faile, Bogan Faile, and Brody Faile; a brother, Robert Hinson; and many nieces and nephews.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Van Hinson and James F. Hinson; and her sister, Iva Mae Helms.

The Celebration of Life Service for Glenda will be 3:00 pm Sunday March 5, 2023, at Crestview Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Cody Honeycutt.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Crestview Baptist Church, 2228 Douglas Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
