INDIAN LAND, SC – Mrs. Germaine Parmentier Comstock, age 90, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023, at Lancaster Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 21, 1932, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of the late Michel Parmentier and Alma Girton Parmentier. A native of Rockford, Illinois, she and her husband Donald Lorin Comstock, have resided in Sun City Carolina Lakes in Indian Land since 2008. Before that, they had retired to Naples, FL, and Bonita Springs, FL for 28 years. In earlier years, Mrs. Comstock enjoyed playing the accordion and organ. After retirement, she learned to play golf and tennis and played on the women's tennis team for her community. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker and did an amazing job taking care of her family.

Mrs. Comstock is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Peterson (Paul) of Sun City Carolina Lakes in Indian Land, SC; her son, Rev. Dr. Kenneth Comstock (Cynthia) of Lake Mills, WI; four grandchildren, Eric Peterson (Heather) of Concord, NC, Scott Peterson (Jaci) of Harrisburg, NC, Katherine Mould (Curt) of Sun Prairie, WI, and Timothy Comstock of Madison, WI; and six great-grandchildren, Payton Peterson, Carson Peterson, Harper Peterson, Nora Peterson, Barrett Mould, and Jackson Mould.

Mrs. Comstock was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Comstock, her parents, and brother, Richard.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Crossroads Lutheran Church, 8511 Shelley Mullis Road in Indian Land, SC on Thursday, June 22, at 5:30.  The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Crossroads Lutheran Church, 8511 Shelley Mullis Road, Indian Land SC 29707.
