Geraldine (Tripp) Norwood

Born Feb. 22, 1940 in Bar Harbor.  Geraldine passed away at White Oak of Lancaster, SC on Feb 8, 2024, just 2 weeks shy of her 84th birthday.

She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's a few years ago.  Prior to that, her life included wearing many hats.  Geraldine was a Lobsterwoman, an Animal Caretaker at The Jackson Lab and a Housekeeper for many, many years.  She was also a Mom, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and a Great-Great Grandmother.  So loved and enjoyed by her family.  She moved from Otter Creek to Florida in 2001, then to Lancaster, SC in 2006.  Yard sales, jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, card games and animals were her hobbies.

Geraldine was predeceased by her Parents, Kenneth and Neta Tripp, her Brother, Roland, Daughter in law Lori, and a Great granddaughter, Isabel.  She married Gerald Norwood Jr of Bar Harbor, in 1957.  Although they divorced in 1986, they remained life long friends.

She is survived by her children, Gerald III (Debby) of McComb, MS, Kenneth of Pecan Gap, TX, Sandy (Bill) of Lancaster, SC and Dwight of Bangor, ME.  11 Grandchildren, 18 Great grand -children and 4 Great-Great grandchildren.

For those who knew Geraldine, she will be greatly missed for her unconditional love, quick wit, spicy attitude and humor.
