LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Gerald Paul Terry, age 78, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at his home. He was born January 10, 1944, in Lancaster, the son of the late Silas Terry and Fannie Delton Parris Terry. Mr. Terry was a mechanic with Springs Industries.  He loved walking trails, hiking, NASCAR and dirt track racing, and wrestling.  Mr. Terry enjoyed eating out with his family on their weekly dinners.  He was of the Pentecostal faith.

Mr. Terry is survived by his son, Ervin Terry (Jennell); a sister, Imogene Boykin; two grandchildren, Logan Terry and Brooklyn Sears-Harness; and friend, Richard Small.

Mr. Terry was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gary Nelson Terry and Wyman Silas Terry; and a sister, Lois Phillips.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Terry will be 11:00 am Sunday, February 6, 2022, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Calvin Snipes.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service, at Burgess Funeral Home.  The family suggests memorial contributions to Rev. Calvin Snipes-House of Prayer, 2037 Dwight Starnes Rd., Lancaster, SC 29720.
