LANCASTER, SC:::::::::: Mr. George Ronnie Threatt, age 73, died Thursday, July 23, 2015 at his home. He was born December 29, 1941 in Lancaster, the son of the late George Threatt and Ruth Roberts Threatt and was the husband of Patsy Oglesby Threatt. Mr. Threatt retired from Springs Industries as Personnel Manager of Human Resources. He was a very active member of Second Baptist Church having served as greeter and assisting with Wednesday night suppers and was an avid Gamecock fan.

Mr. Threatt is survived by his wife, Patsy Oglesby Threatt; a daughter, Sheri Snead and her husband Joseph of Great Falls, a brother, William Roberts and his wife Judy of Lancaster; a grandson, Brandon Jones and his fiancé, Candice Banks of Great Falls; two step grandchildren, Lauren Cameron (Travis) and Jessica Snead; three step great grandchildren, Michaela Baldwin, Peyton Baldwin and Tinsley Cameron; two sisters-in-law, Sandra O. Broom of Great Falls and Carolyn O. Campbell of Lexington; five special nieces, Donna Rollins (Neil), Kim Sapp (Ray), Kelly Manning (Michael), Donna Faile and Debbie Garner; and special great nieces and nephews, Alex Walters, Rebekah Sapp, Joshua Sapp, Jakob Sapp, Karsyn Manning, Will Manning, Emily Manning, Joel Rollins, Chase Rollins, Bailey Faile, Sara Ann Faile and Adair Garner; and his beloved puppy, Ella.

Mr. Threatt was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, John Campbell and Bobby Broom.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Threatt will be 11:00 am Monday, July 27, 2015 at Second Baptist Church by Dr. Brian Saxon, Rev. Larry Helm and Rev. Mike Hammond. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The Family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Sunday evening, July 26, 2015 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster and suggest memorial contributions be made to Second Baptist Church, Global Harvest or Building Fund, 1426 Great Falls Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720 or Agape Hospice, 815 Meeting Street, Lancaster, SC 29720.
