LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. George Russell Kent, age 87, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021, at his home.  He was born September 20, 1934, in Cleveland, OH, a son of the late George Levi Kent and the late Dorothy Ruby Rucker Kent-Roth. Mr. Kent proudly served in the United States Army for 8 years. Mr. Kent enjoyed fishing and most recently genealogy and was a Ham Radio Operator. He retired from Clark Control/Danaher and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Mr. Kent is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sandie Kent; a son, George Kenneth Kent (Liên) of Indian Trail, NC; two daughters, Susan Diane Kent of Key West, FL, and Julie Ann Kent of Lancaster; a brother, Jim A. Kent (Kathy) of Ohio; four grandchildren, Linh Kent, Susan L. Hethcox (Tommy), Justin K. Shehane (special friend, Raven Burns), and James L. Shehane (Chesney); and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Kent was preceded in death by his parents, George and Dorothy Kent; and a sister, Joyce K. Champa-Hardy.

The family will hold a private Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Kent.
